Poseidon
I realised a while back that I didn’t have any good photos of Poseidon, the statue by Carl Milles that symbolises Gothenburg for many Gothenburgers. He has stood in his fountain in Götaplatsen since 1931. At a distance he looks affable and maybe a “go’ gubbe” (a genuine male Gothenburger), close-up he seems watchful and bit suspicious.
