The five continent statues around the fountain at Järntorget each have different attributes. This is Asia teaching. Her right hand forms (what I suspect is a Western interpretation of) the Vitarka Mudra gesture that means teaching or discussion in Buddhism. The first finger and thumb form the Wheel of Law. Fly by bus
This big fly – larger than my thumbnail – was resting by the window of the bus next to my seat. It didn’t seem to mind me pointing a massive camera at it for this macro shot. I’m not used to flies with this banded colouring – in my imagination all flies are black, except the big blue bottles and green bottles Swedes call spyflugor (vomit flies).
